How to Measure for Your Beekeeping Suit
Height: Measure your height without shoes, standing straight against a wall. (height is the easiest measurement to use)
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest under the arms, keeping the tape measure horizontal and comfortable (not too tight).
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, typically just above your belly button.
Between Sizes? We recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit, especially if you plan to wear layers underneath your suit.
Layering: Consider that you may wear regular clothing underneath your beekeeping suit. A slightly looser fit allows for better air circulation and comfort during long hive inspections.
Sizing Tips for Beekeeping Suits

- Mobility: You should be able to move freely, bend, and reach without restriction. Test by raising your arms and bending at the waist.
- Veil Clearance: Ensure the veil sits comfortably away from your face and neck for both safety and comfort.
- Ankle and Wrist Fit: Elastic cuffs should fit snugly but not too tight to prevent bees from entering.
