Refund Policy

At Yarra Bee Company, we stand behind the quality of our beekeeping tools and equipment. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please review our refund and return policy below.

30-Day Return Window

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date for most items. To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and in the same condition that you received them
  • In the original packaging with all tags and labels attached
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Custom or personalized items: Including custom engraved tools, personalized beekeeping suits, or any made-to-order products
  • Clearance or final sale items: Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase
  • Opened consumables: Propolis products, queen marking pens, or other consumable items that have been opened or used
  • Protective clothing that has been worn (other than trying on): Beekeeping suits, veils, or gloves that show signs of use for hygiene reasons
  • Gift cards

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us at support@yarrabeeco.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos if the item is defective or damaged

We will provide you with a return authorization and instructions for sending the item back. Please do not ship items back without contacting us first, as unauthorized returns may not be processed.

Return Shipping

Standard returns: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error in your order.

Defective or incorrect items: If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for your return. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item and are not responsible for items lost in transit.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your original payment method within 5-10 business days. Please note that depending on your bank or credit card company, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account.

Partial refunds: In some cases, only partial refunds may be granted for items that are returned with obvious signs of use, missing parts, or not in original condition.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you need a different size, color, or product, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the item you need.

For defective items, we will gladly send a replacement at no additional cost once we receive the defective item back.

Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact us immediately at support@yarrabeeco.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the damaged or defective item
  • Description of the issue

We will work quickly to resolve the issue with a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs.

Wrong Item Received

If you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you at no additional charge and provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect item.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund, provided the order has not yet been processed or shipped. Once an order has shipped, our standard return policy applies.

Custom or personalized orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

Restocking Fees

We do not charge restocking fees for standard returns. However, custom or special order items that are returned due to customer error may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received your refund after 10 business days, please:

  • Check your bank account or credit card statement again
  • Contact your credit card company or bank, as processing times vary
  • Contact us at support@yarrabeeco.com if you still have not received your refund
