A Yarra Bee Company gift card is a prepaid credit for beekeeping equipment, delivered by email and redeemable on anything we sell. Choose an amount from $25 to $500, add a message, and it arrives in the recipient's inbox with a code they enter at checkout. There are no fees, and the card stays valid for five years.
What can it be used on?
Everything in the store. Hive bodies and frames, foundation, bee suits and gloves, smokers and hive tools, honey extractors, uncapping equipment, jars and containers. If the order comes to more than the card, the balance is paid by card at checkout. If it comes to less, the remainder stays on the card for next time.
Is a gift card a good present for a beekeeper?
It is usually the safest one. Beekeeping gear is sized and standardized in ways that are easy to get wrong from the outside: an eight frame beekeeper cannot use ten frame boxes, deep and medium frames are not interchangeable, and suit sizing varies between makes. A gift card lets them choose the size and configuration that fits the hives they already run.
How is it delivered?
By email, usually within a few minutes of the order being placed. Nothing is shipped, so there is no delivery charge and no wait. You can send it to the recipient directly or to yourself if you would rather hand it over in person.

Does the gift card expire?
Yarra Bee Company gift cards are valid for five years from the date of purchase, which meets the federal minimum set by the CARD Act. The balance does not reduce over time, and we will not charge a fee against it. If you find a card that has passed the five year mark, please get in touch with the order number and we will do what we can to help.
Can it be used more than once?
Yes. Any unused balance stays on the card and can be spent on a later order.
Can I add a personal message?
Yes. There is a message field at checkout, and it is included in the email the recipient receives.
What if I lose the email?
Contact us with the order number and we will resend it. The card itself cannot be lost or stolen in the way a physical card can, because the balance is tied to the code.
