Reusable Plastic Small Hive Beetle Traps - Beetle Jail - 5 Pack

Great quality, fast delivery!

Managing small hive beetles is a constant battle, and these hanging traps provide a highly practical solution. Designed to fit neatly between the frames, they sit securely without disrupting the natural movement of the bees. I really appreciate the flexibility of the three-compartment design, which allows me to fill the main sections with oil while adding a separate bait to lure the pests in more effectively.

Seeing the bees actively herd the beetles into the slots proves the design works exactly as intended. Cleaning them out is simple enough, making them a sustainable choice for routine hive maintenance. While they do require a steady hand during inspection to prevent spills, the overall reduction in beetle populations makes them an essential line of defense.

Pros
Versatile Filling Options: Works efficiently with either food-grade oil or diatomaceous earth.

Smart Compartments: Features dedicated bait sections to improve capture rates.

Reusable Design: Easily opens up for cleaning, saving money on single-use alternatives.

Cons
Spill Risk: Can be messy to remove and empty during fast hive inspections.

Frame Space: Takes up a small amount of gap room between the outer frames.

Fantastic idea, hope they work!

Great service great product great communication will be buying again

Have put these traps in my hives. Very easy to use. Little bit of oil and wait for the bees to chase them into the trap.
