These stainless steel queen excluders measures 19 7/8" (L) × 16 1/4" (W) - perfect for a standard 10 frame box. The gaps in the excluder are sized to allow the worker bees through to the honey supers but not the larger sized queen.
Using an excluder can be a helpful way to stop the queen accessing the honey supers. If the queen lays eggs in the honey supers it can be difficult to harvest clean honey.

The excluder quality looked great and it fitted nicely into my hive.
I added this stainless steel queen excluder to my 10-frame hive setup a few months ago, and it has worked very well to keep brood out of my honey supers. The 510mm × 410mm sizing sits flush right over the brood chamber without shifting or leaving risky edge gaps. The rounded wire slots are spaced properly, allowing the worker bees to pass through without wing damage while effectively blocking the queen below. Cleaning off propolis with a hive tool is much easier on this metal frame than on flexible plastic alternatives, which tend to warp or crack over time. It makes honey harvesting much cleaner and hassle-free.
